San Jose, California – Beachhead Mobile marks the company’s entrance into a new market, mobile application products for consumers. Beachhead Mobile’s initial development efforts will be in security and productivity solutions, beginning with the iOS platform.
“Leveraging eight years’ experience securing enterprise software, it was only natural that we would consider a security application as our first consumer product”, said John Cardozo, VP of Product Development. “We are well aware of the risky practices consumers take in protecting their personal credentials as well as the increasing sophistication of cyber attacks by hackers”.
The “risky practices” in question refer to the average user’s widespread reuse of the same passwords across multiple accounts, writing and storing information on paper, or trying their best to memorize login information. Each of these popular methods comes with its own varying degree of risk and leaves users more vulnerable to cyber attacks.
Beachhead Mobile is set to launch its first mobile offering in the coming days, a customizable password and personal information manager and vaulting application, which addresses the increasing security risk consumers face from compromised or stolen passwords. Public concern in the wake of recent security breaches on popular websites like Yahoo, LinkedIn, and Dropbox underscores the need for better practices amongst consumers such as stronger passwords and the use of an encrypted password manager.
