Gold Coast, Australia – The brand new children’s educational app, Learning to Read with Byron -Visual Tracking, has been launched now in the iTunes store. The learning activities have been designed in consultation with Tracy Ashbridge, specialist leading teacher of students with Learning Difficulties.
This specially designed educational app features four main sections which each have ten activities specifically designed for both young learners and learners with identified learning difficulties in the area of visual tracking. It is great for independent errorless learning – auditory and visual cues prompt the student to select the correct answers. For students diagnosed with difficulties in Visual Tracking, parents, teachers, para-professionals require simple and effective ways to remediate these problems and achieve success in reading. Visual Tracking is the ability for the eyes to efficiently track as a team across the page of text. This is a vital component of efficient and accurate reading.
Learning to read with Byron – Visual Tracking features uncluttered screens to allow students focus on the learning activities. Byron Bear features throughout the activities.
The app creates a inclusive environment for children to develop their Visual Tracking skills:

* Developing visual discrimination
* Tracking left to right across a page
This app caters for learners of junior school age, although it may be appropriate for older students who require specific practise in visual tracking skills.
