Huelva, Spain – Independent developer Noe Guerrero today is pleased to announce Gnomochi – The Guardian of the Forest 1.4 free for iOS, an update to his animated, fantasy role-playing game, featuring photorealistic, awesome graphics & animation. As if a scene from The Hobbit had come to life, players control Gnomochi, the forest gnome, and must keep him alive by supplementing his strength, magic, and happiness. He uses these to help mine gold, and players can use the gold to buy the ability to control conditions in the forest, food, furniture, potions and animals.
Gnomochi, a virtual pet or tamagotchi, stands before a calm, misted, forest lake that reflects the forest surrounding it; this is the main stage. Touching the screen has the forest gnome sit to smoke his pipe on a magic carpet, bathe in the lake, rest at home inside a tree, or pan for gold. As the mist moves across the lake, the forest’s reflection is constantly changing, setting an atmosphere of magic and fantasy.

* Build strength, happiness, and magic capabilities through really funny mini-games
* Awesome effects including snow, rain, night, magic skills, mist, fireflies, and more
* Convincing fantasy role-playing game

Three horizontal thermometer bars at the top of the screen measure the gnome’s strength, magic and happiness, and digital readouts display the amount of gold he has and his current age. Players can open challenging, funny mini-games, each of which adds to his strength, magic, or happiness. One of the strength games is catching giant, falling apples. A game to increase magic involves riding a mythological bird and collecting stars. Happiness can be increased playing a match-3 jewel game. Most games include dual controllers for vertical and horizontal movement, bonuses, and magic can be employed to gain higher scores.
There is a wonderful selection of items in the store, many of which can be used during gameplay. Conditions in the forest can be controlled by purchasing nighttime, fireflies, heavy mist, butterflies, and birds. Nourishment can be gained by buying edible, falling apples, mushrooms, and a pot and fire. Mine lights increase productivity during the night, and there are special potions to enhance strength, magic, and happiness. Contributing to warmth and comfort are store items like a mushroom house, sofa, fireplace, and bed. Players can also study to learn how to create magic rain or snow.
“Gnomochi is a friend to visit every day, to make sure he’s OK, and enjoy the beautiful forest where anything is possible,” commented developer Noe Guerrero.
