Vienna, Austria – Incredible Bee has just released Archiver 2.0, a complete overhaul to their archive and file system tool. Designed by Apple Design Award Winner Dietmar Kerschner, Archiver lets users open, create and convert archives, as well as split and combine files. With Archiver 2, Incredible Bee has added popularly requested features, such as archive previewing, multitasking, compression level setting, and a brand new archive format that offers image and audio pre-compression.
A Fresh Workflow and Interface:
“With Archiver 2, we wanted to make a smarter, faster, simpler app,” says Ramon Huidobro, Chief Software Officer. “We’ve given Archiver a completely new look that blends nicely into the look and feel of OS X Lion and Mountain Lion.”
The CSO also introduced archive previewing, one of the most popular requested features. Archiver 2 now offers not only the ability to peek into the contents of archives, but also dragging out specific files, and performing QuickLook on files.
High Compression for Image and Music Files:
With Archiver 2, Incredible Bee aims to improve compression on a practical level. This is why they introduced Archiver archives. This new format will allow users to not only compress their files normally, but also to pre-compress their image and audio files.
* Smart drag-and-drop
* Reduce file and folder size with Zip, 7zip, Gzip, Bzip2 compression
* Own compression format to shrink images and audio files
* Extract and convert all popular archive formats including RAR, StuffIt, Zip, and 7zip
* Preview archive contents
* Encrypt and password-protect sensitive files
* Split and combine files
* OS X Version 10.7 or higher
Pricing and Availability:
Archiver 2 is $19 (USD), and available as a free download from the Archiver website. It runs initially in a 14-day trial mode with all features active. This is a paid upgrade for registered Archiver or iArchiver users. A 15% introductory discount will run for one week.
