Royal Oak, Michigan – Marvel Apps LLC, one of the Largest App Developers in the State of Michigan according to Detroit Crain’s Business, is introducing Missile Barrage, a retro revival of the classic Missile Command(R) video game of the 1980’s. It challenges players to protect six cities from an endless hail of inbound ballistic missiles. Missile Barrage is available for the Apple Mac, Amazon Kindle, Google Android devices and soon to be for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
The premise of the game is simple: the player must protect six cities from an ever increasing swarm of ballistic missiles. Defending your cities earns you coins to redeem inside the Upgrade Lab, which is available for purchase for 99 cents. The Upgrade Lab offers the user the ability to buff their cities. Missile Barrage captures the original iconic DNA of the 1980’s phenomenon, and adds compelling new dimensions and attitude all in 3D.
When asked how Missile Barrage was created, President at Marvel Apps LLC, Michael Antaran said, “we use the best mobile development Game Engine out there, Unity 3D. With Unity, we can create great games quickly and easily across multiple platforms with one build.” With that said, “I challenged my team to take a week and make anything they wanted. As an incentive, the game’s creators have actual ownership in its success.”
In a short 10 days, Missile Barrage was conceived, developed, and now released. Missile Barrage is free to play, and is available on the Apple Mac App Store, Kindle App Store, Google Play Store and soon to be on the Apple App Store.
“Not bad for a small independent mobile software development team in downtown Royal Oak, Michigan.” says Antaran.
Missile Barrage boasts thrilling new gameplay such as:
* Unlimited Waves – play with increasing challenge as you progress
* Unique Increasing Difficulty – difficulty scales based on how long you defend your cities
* Power-ups – all new power upgrades help players increase blast radius, missile speed, restock cities, missile supply and more
* Enemies – take on massive waves of enemy missiles, aircrafts and bosses with varying speeds, health, behavior and characteristics
* City Abilities – use your coins to rearrange and change city abilities
* Save Play Progress – use your coins to save progress and begin on later waves as a passive buff
