The most exciting feature is network browsing. It’s easy now. You no longer need to use Connect To Server window to login to some AFP server and can simply browse network in the side bar. It definetely a lot faster. Similarly to other popular file managers, Disk Order can copy/view/edit files, browse archives, connect to FTP and do many other useful tricks. It also supports plugins, one of which is iPod Browse for downloading music from your iPod/iPhone.

Disk Order was designed to be a substitution of Finder, featuring a dual pane interface, helping to save a lot of time when it comes to file management. It’s a great choice for laptop owners, because nearly all operations can be done with keyboard only, without dragging files around. It also would be the best for those who used to work with applications like Total Commander or Directory Opus.
