Pleasantville, New York – Artgig Apps announces the release of Marble Math 1.1 today, adding multi-user accounts to their popular kids math practice app. Geared for ages 9-12+ and based on the Common Core curriculum, Marble Math helps reinforce strategy and problem solving skills as players roll their marble through a math maze. The addition of multi-user accounts allows players to create individual profiles, each with customizable avatars, skills, and game options, and includes a personal game history.
The Wired.com GeekDad, Daniel Donahoo, includes Marble Math in his Primary Math App Picks, “The questions offer a range of styles that are numerical and visual and, beyond just providing multiple choice answers, the students actually have to collect different numbers that help complete the answer. This is great as there are many and varied answers and the students have to actually understand the solution to the problem, as guessing like you would on multiple choice will not help you progress.”
The object of Marble Math is to solve a variety of math problems by collecting numbers as a player rolls or drags their marble through a series of mazes. Young mathematicians earn new marbles as they avoid obstacles and collect bonuses while working through the problems. There is no time limit – children can work at their own pace, and if they get an answer wrong, they have the opportunity to see the correct solution and then try again.
“Adding individual user accounts is the one request that kept coming up since the app launched in June,” says Artgig President Matthew Kicinski. “Now parents and educators can add as many users as they like on a single device and each child can practice math at their own specific level and save their progress. The update also includes a fun avatar creator that we think kids will love.”
