Amsterdam, Netherlands – The Mental Faculty BV today is proud to announce the release of Mental Case 2 for iOS. The original Mental Case app has been in the App Store for more than 4 years, and is one of the most respected study card apps. Mental Case 2 is completely rewritten and restyled, with support for iCloud sync, video in cards, multiple choice quizzes, and goal-oriented study schedules.
A characteristic that has always set Mental Case apart is close integration with Mental Case on the Mac. Mental Case 2 increases this integration with the addition of iCloud sync. The study card content on all iOS devices and Macs synchronize via iCloud. In addition, your study progress, and even the current study session, are kept in sync. It is possible to begin a study session on your iPhone, and continue it later on your iPad or Mac.
Study cards in Mental Case 2 are also much more powerful. They can include as many sides as you choose – not just two – and each side can contain styled text, an image, audio, and even video.
Mental Case 2 can also schedule study cards for study, using goal-oriented study schedules. For example, if you want to remember something in the long term, you can choose the long-term study schedule to get optimal benefit for the time you spend studying. On the other hand, if you need to cram for an exam in a month’s time, the date-targeted schedule would be better suited.
Study sessions in Mental Case 2 have received a major overhaul. You now swipe through your cards, grading them right or wrong as you go. Support has been added for multiple choice quizzes, and a unique navigation mode allows you to pinch out to jump to a different card.
