The user’s goal is to find all the objects well-hidden in virtual backgrounds and stay within strict time limit. Though The Panic Room: Outrage goes a little bit further than ordinary HOG-title would. Users are not just to search but also to analyze their actions and take sometimes painful decisions which will heavily affect the storyline.
The Panic Room: Outrage gives players a thrilling experience of being dragged into the whirlwind of dangerous and mysterious events threatening their lifes and freedom. A player is to find a way out of a mansion which is used by psychotic Puppeteer as a laboratory where he puts his prisoners under various trials with the aim of grasping the essence of such things as freedom and will. Some inhabitants of the luxurious Victorian mansion will help to complete the quest, some will try their best to prevent a player from succeeding. But everyone of those will have a personal story to tell. All the inhabitants stand behind one of the opposite factions: the Followers who proclaimed the Puppeteer as their teacher and the Underground who are trying to break free.
The game’s story with two alternate lines and a plenty of side-quests is divided into seasons. Once in a six-month period a new season comes out. By now a social version of The Panic Room: Outrage has three seasons. iPad users are to start their adventure from the very beginning but soon enough the second season will be available for an iOS-version of the game.
Dramatic atmosphere, stylish and detailed visuals as well as atmospheric sounds give an impression of classic Agatha Christie’s detective stories turned into a game.
