Bristol, United Kingdom – A new personal finance app arrives on the iPad this week with the release of the iPad version of the Fuel Economy Calculator App. The App is the latest to come from the creators of Spending Log which reached the top 5 of all apps in the UK last September and has been a feature of the UK Finance Chart for over 2 years.
The ‘Fuel Economy Calculator’ App doesn’t stop at Fuel Economy. Based on the info entered into the App at fuel stops it can also tell the driver how much they spend on fuel in an average month, how far they travel in an average month and the average price they pay for fuel. And there’s more, as Mic Wright of The Sunday Times in the UK says in his review, “You can keep track of multiple vehicles on this and it includes a ‘journey cost calculator’. Another standout feature is that it will calculate fuel economy in mpg and gives you the option of imperial measurements. The app works by using figures from your car’s odometer and is extremely accurate.”
Transfer Data Between iPhone and iPad:
Users can log their fuel stops whilst out and about by using the iPhone Fuel Economy Calculator App on their iPhone. Fuel stop data can then be sent up to the cloud from where it can be retrieved by the new iPad App where further analysis can be made.
Specifically for iPad:
Unlike apps that run on both iPhone and iPad with a layout that isn’t quite right for either, Fuel Economy Calculator for iPad is exactly that, specifically created with the iPad in mind. This means that unlike the other poorer car apps the layout on the iPad is not the same as on the iPhone, meaning users needn’t laboriously page through multiple screens as though they were just using a stretched out iPhone App ; The layout is concise, using the iPad as it was meant to be used.
The Journalists Recommendation:
Fuel Economy Calculator has been featured in the Sunday Times App List, scored a Grade A on a road test by Edmunds and has been featured by Money Supermarket.
