Essen, Germany – Marcus Roskosch, independent software developer and founder of creating-your-app.com, just released his new app, RF Toolbox Pro 6.00.05 for iPhone, iPod and iPad. This new app is based on his very popular Electronic Toolbox app and shares some features of it like the Organizer, the Project maintenance functions and some calculation tools.
RF Toolbox Pro offers a wide range or commonly used calculation tools and databases for high frequency electronics, RF professionals, radio amateurs and students.
“In total, RF Toolbox offers 52 individual tools and there are more to come over the time” Marcus said, as he is already working on a next version. The app runs on all i-Devices that use at least iOS 5. It takes advantage of iOS 6, the Retina Display and the 4″ display of the iPhone 5 but runs just fine on older devices.
Currently RF Toolbox pro covers subjects such as PCB Trace calculations, Coax Cables, Amplifiers, Attenuators, SWR/Reflection/Return loss conversions, Noise Figure conversions, Skin Depth calculations, Butterworth and Chebyshev Filters including plot of filter charts, LC L/T/Pi Match calculations, just to mention a few. This app takes advantage if the newest iOS 6 has been installed or a Retina or even Retina 4″ display is available but it also runs just fine, if just an older device is available.
