Bangalore, India – HashCube today is pleased to introduce Sudoku Quest+ 1.0 free for iOS, its deluxe Sudoku game with 160 puzzles, each a Milestone on one of three Sudoku Quest+ Maps. Currently the #1 Sudoku game on Facebook, the app features complete Facebook integration, which allows Friends to compete on-line. Color Sudoku, 11 variants, hints, auto/manual input, step back, time limits, auto error notification, puzzle sizes from 4×4 to 10×10, overlapping puzzles, pause/resume, and 6 ingenious power-ups are all included in Sudoku Quest+ for iOS.
* 3 Maps to conquer
* 160 Milestones to complete
* 6 power-ups to unlock
* 11 exclusive variants of Sudoku to discover
* Connect via Facebook and compete with Friends
* Only Sudoku app with Color Sudoku
* Fun to play, but challenging to master
The game includes complete instructions with the following chapters: How to Input a Number, How to Use Power-Ups, The Rules of Sudoku, and How to Play Overlapping Puzzles. One of the basic strategies of the game is that players try to fill in the easiest squares first. On a 6×6 gameboard, a row or column or block that already has five numbers filled in contains one cell with an obvious solution. Sudoku Quest+ flashes the six cells and the cells’ perimeter whenever a row, column, or block is completed correctly. Color Sudoku makes solving the puzzle easier, as each number has its own color.
The goal is to explore all the islands on the map, and players must solve each puzzle (Milestone) to advance. Each Milestone has a time limit, and players earn points and gold. Scoring is based on the number of cells solved correctly, and a time bonus is awarded that reflects how many seconds remain on the timer when the puzzle is solved. Gold and cash can be used during gameplay to add seconds to the timer, if the player does not finish in time.
Various power-ups assist players as puzzles become increasingly difficult. The Magic Eye highlights all cells having the same number selected by the player. The Light Bulb provides a hint, filling in one cell in the puzzle. The Autopencil automatically fills unsolved cells with all the possible values for each one. And the Artist’s Palette activates a colorcode, assigning a color to each number.
“Sudoku Quest+ features 3 Maps, 160 Milestones, interesting variants of Sudoku, awesome Power-Ups, Sudoku in Color, Facebook Connect and much more,” stated Gurinder Singh of HashCube. “Sudoku Quest+, the #1 Sudoku game on Facebook, played by over 2 million users, is now on iOS.”
