Toronto, Canada – Voisak is a social voice messaging service that let people publish short voice messages up to 30 seconds. Voice messages can be shared with the public or a specific person as a private message. There are also groups where people can share and follow voice messages about a specific event or subject.
Voice messages can be optionally geotagged to help people discover nearby stories. Users can also use reposting feature – similar to retweet – to help a voice message to be heard by more people.
To publish voice messages people need to sign up using their email address or Facebook account. Each user have a profile page and can be followed by other users. Users can also optionally enable protection mode for their account, so only people they approve can follow and listen to their voice messages. Users always have full control over who can or can’t listen to their recordings.
Users can configure email notifications for their profile and groups separately.
Voisak API is also available to developers who are interested in building their own Voisak integrated applications for the web, the desktop, mobile devices, or other platforms.
