Phoenix, Arizona – To help young children learn about numbers and counting, wryIP, LLC today introduces Ten Monsters Come to Call, its latest educational mobile app and interactive storybook featuring an original story, classical music, and lovable characters. Available for the iPad, Kindle, Android tablets, Nook Color, and Nook Tablet, the app shares the story of ten adorable monsters dropping by to help children learn their numbers and counting from one to ten.
An original musical score and interactive surprises bring the story to life and encourage children to explore. As the story unfolds, the monster count increases one by one – each monster brings some fun-loving mischief.
Numbers are shown in both written and numeric form, and the app can even read out loud to the child. Throughout the screen there are interactive surprises to discover including what each monster does when tapped.
“As parents of young children ourselves, we designed Ten Monsters Come to Call as a fun and interactive way to learn number and reading skills,” said Daniel Milowski, CEO of wryIP, LLC, which created the app. “Children will love the cute characters and parents will appreciate the stimulating educational environment.”
In Ten Monsters Come to Call, children build number recognition and basic counting skills. The storyline and numbers shown on each monster character are synchronized so that children learn to associate the word “One” with the symbol “1” and the concept of the number one. This aids in developing strong foundational math skills.
To support reading, each page of the story features a “Read It To Me” speaker button that speaks the written words out loud. As children become familiar with the words and the story, they begin to develop letter, word, and sentence recognition skills essential to reading.
The original musical score played throughout the story is a classically inspired piece that stimulates the child’s brain with complex musical patterns. Scientific studies have shown music to be an effective aid in priming the brain for learning.
The Ten Monsters Come to Call app is full of interactive exploration possibilities in each screen. Touching an object can reveal another hidden object, play a sound, or trigger an animation. High interactivity stimulates learning engagement and helps develop hand eye coordination and motor skills in young children.
