Auckland, New Zealand – To fund the initial production of HiLO Lens the team turned to Kickstarter, a crowdfunding website. Backers can pre-order the HiLO Lens now for only $60 on Kickstarter. In 2013 the HiLO Lens will retail for $79.95.
“We see a lot of interest in using the HiLO Lens for the iPad and iPad Mini. The HiLO Lens allows the iPad camera to be used comfortably from waist level” said Mark Hampton creator of the HiLO Lens.
For the iPad and iPad Mini the HiLO Lens makes photography much more practical. Tablets are uncomfortable to hold at arms length when framing photos, they also look out of place. With the HiLO Lens the tablet can be held at waist level and the photo of the horizon framed while looking down at the iPad screen.
Backers of the project appreciate the flexibility HiLO Lens offers iPhoneographers. Dozens of blog and review sites have described how HiLO Lens brings to iPad & iPhone the benefits of swivel/rotating screens found on modern digital cameras. This is one reason mobile photography will continue to increase it’s share of the digital camera market.
iPhone gadget lovers still have one week to back the HiLO Lens project on Kickstarter. The HiLO Lens will not be taking pre-orders after the Kickstarter project, so get it while it lasts.
