Jupiter, Florida – Byrne Publishing is pleased to reveal its new “time lapse” feature in the 3 Red Birds Coloring Storybooks app, which enables users to see every story illustration go from sketch to final art. All four story books in the app feature this unique effect, and a fifth bonus book gives users a sneak peek of illustrator Nicole Allin’s painting process.
As each illustration blossoms to life, a kid narrator reads all of the stories aloud, with each word appearing on the screen as it is read. A chorus of kids comments throughout the narration, aiding in the explanation of challenging vocabulary words when they appear in the stories.
The narration and music can be turned on or off, and a bookmark feature allows users to jump to their favorite pages instantly.
After watching the illustrative process in action, budding artists then get to color every page of the stories for themselves in the app’s coloring feature (40 coloring pages in all). The coloring feature comes with a “rainbow” button that switches colors automatically as users draw.
This app also features an engaging matching game with six-different levels that will keep little minds guessing.
The 3 Red Birds App seeks to spark creativity, as well as develop reading comprehension and memory skills.
* A “Time-lapse” feature revealing how the illustrator created each page
* 4 story books (10 pages each)
* A 16-page behind-the-scenes book showing the illustrator at work

Kids get to hear four different stories (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer) about three silly red birds named Chirp, Tweet, and Squawk. Every page of the story paints itself right before their eyes, inspiring them to create their own art. Plus, to help kids learn to read, each word appears on the screen as it is read aloud by a cute kid narrator. A group of kids also makes fun comments during the stories, highlighting challenging vocabulary words. The music and narration can be turned on or off, and a handy bookmark feature allows users to jump straight to their favorite pages instantly.
After reading the story and playing the games, kids (and adults too) will enjoy going behind the scenes to see illustrator, Nicole Allin, hard at work. Users can see Nicole’s painting process in action, as well as read how she brings the red birds to life.
After watching the illustrative process in action, kids then get to be the artist and color every single page for themselves. The coloring feature sparks their creativity and enables them to color all 40 pages from the stories. It also comes with a unique rainbow button that switches colors automatically as they draw.
Kids can match pairs of pictures from the storybooks. The 6-level matching game starts off with 6 memorable images to match, then moves on to 8, 10, 12, 18, and 24 images to match. This matching game is a great and fun way to develop a child’s memory skills.
This app supports Spanish translations of all five books. To expose kids to a second language, users simply switch the language settings on their device: General Settings > International > Language > Espaol
