Chengdu, China – WeDate today is pleased to announce WeDate 3.1 free for iOS, an update to its highly successful social networking app that helps guys and girls easily find someone nearby for dating. Users post photos on their Wall and include Basic Information, Living Habits, and Interests. Following free registration, members can search photos by Location and/or Category. WeDate features Chat, Notifications, Photo Share, The Truth Game, and Create a Date, which lets users propose one of nine dating activities, time, and place. Also included is built-in email, Facebook, Twitter, and SMS connectivity, and a Blacklist to prevent receiving any communication from a specified user. The update includes optimization of the display of photos and saving chats after exiting.
* Free app, free registration, and no ads
* Search through photos of users in your town, your area, or anywhere

* Participate in The Truth Game to meet new people
* Create a Date lets you propose your ideal date or party
At first launch in portrait orientation, users register free by choosing a Name and posting a Photo. The first window on the user’s Wall, the Name window also tracks number of Followers, number of people the user has Liked, and the number of Photos posted. In addition, there is room provided a brief (50 characters or less) subtitle.
Scrolling down, in The Basics window members can quickly complete the following details: Job, Age, Location, Height, Body Type, Looking For (Chat, Friends, or Date), and Character (Gentle, Optimistic, Frank, Introverted, or Modest). The Living Habits window includes: Smoking, Drinking, and Sex (I’m up for it; If you get me drunk; If we get along and there’s a spark; If we’re in a relationship; or If we get married). Last, users can reveal My Interests, including: Movies, Music, Games, Books, TV, Food, and Sports.
The default view on launch is the Meet People page, where users can browse photos individually or in groups of thumbnails. Browsing is made more efficient through Search Criteria, where users select details about whom they are seeking, such as: Gender (Male, Female, or No Limit), Region (Nearby, In the Same City, or No Limit), and Advanced (No Requirements, Close in Age, or Currently Online). Touching any thumbnail brings up that user’s Wall and all the photos and information he or she has posted. From the bottom tab bar, social networkers can Like and/or Chat with the person they have found.
The Create a Date window lets users create a date they would like to go on by proposing one of nine types of dates (Party, Dinner, Bar, Live Event, Coffee, Movie, Travel, Sports, or Other). Users can then enter a brief text description of their ideal date, propose a place to go, and make their proposal valid for 1 – 7 days. Members can also browse through dates created nearby to attend parties and join groups. Thumbnails of all guests who plan to come appear on a Details page describing the get-together, along with links to Join or Chat with the Organizer.
The Truth Game is an online icebreaker, where users answer a personal question that is selected randomly. Others can view all the various responses to that question and discuss it via Chat. The app also includes Information History, a record of recent Chats and Notifications.
“Unlike other apps, you don’t need to pay to become a popular figure on WeDate,” commented Changming Li of WeDate. “Just ask questions frequently in The Truth Game, and there will be many people who will answer your questions, and who will follow you. Compared with the old method of “shake to chat,” it is more sensible for you to choose those with whom you want to chat. You can pose witty and humorous questions and wait to find the person with the best answer.”
