The iPhone has become one of the most popular camera devices in the world, and with so many fantastic photo applications available for iOS, its really not a surprise. There’s one app in particular that is somewhat unique in the way it handles photo manipulation – its fully automatic.
ClonErase, as the name suggests, can clone and erase from a series of image. If you’re familiar with the photos where the same person is duplicate in various poses, then you’ll be familiar with ClonErase. It also removes all the duplicates of people and leaves a clean image. The most remarkable thing of all, though, is that it does all this automatically. You don’t have manually draw and scribble to highlight areas or anything like that. ClonErase will take care of everything all on its own. The downside, of course, is that you don’t have much control over the outcome but that’s the price you pay for automation. Provided that your images are shot properly, ClonErase is pretty good at what it does. Several of my initial attempts failed miserably until I finally figured out how to take pictures with ClonErase properly. The best method, I find, is it place your phone on a steady surface and use the countdown timer to take a series of shots. It also enables to take delayed burst shots so you can take 5 photo with 15 seconds in between then, for example. Convenient feature, I must say.
The only complaint that I have is that despite reading the instructions, it can be very difficult to understand how to user ClonErase exactly. Since the results very much depend on proper execution, using the app properly can mean the difference between a fantastic experience and a complete failure. With improved “introduction to the app” I feel that ClonErase would be significantly easier to use and understand. Other then that, ClonErase is pretty good at what it does and can be a lot of fun to play around with, especially when it comes to duplicating yourself several times in one shot. Go ahead and give ClonErase a try and be sure to report back and let us know what you think in the comments down below.
