Moscow, Russian Federation – A fresh update of ABBYY(R) Lingvo Dictionaries mobile software, which helps to create and use custom sets of high-quality offline dictionaries for work and study, is now available at the App Store.
The update, version 3.5, offers instant synchronization of Lingvo learning cards stored on different iOS mobile devices via ABBYY’s cloud-based server for a better user experience. Now you can optimize your language learning activity using as much iOS smartphones and tablets as you need. Additionally, you can send your own suggestions with words to be included into Lingvo Dictionaries directly to ABBYY developers via the “Suggest a word” button.
Developers of iOS-based software, such as e-book reading applications, can now easily implement into their products a specially designed free URL Scheme that will allow their users to instantly launch Lingvo Dictionaries when tapping on an unfamiliar word to get its translation. The only condition to support this functionality is that ABBYY Lingvo should be installed on the same device.
There is a URL Scheme for ABBYY Lingvo and a short implementation guide for Developers on the ABBYY website.
