Bloomington, Illinois – Chimp Studios today is pleased to introduce Cloud Clip 1.0 for OS X, the first clipboard management utility that allows users to sync the contents of any Mac clipboard between additional Macs and iDevices via iCloud. Accessible from the menu bar, the dock, or both, Cloud Clip displays an unlimited scrolling list of items copied to the clipboard. Any item can be chosen to preview, star as a favorite, paste, delete, or share by email, Messaging, Twitter, or Facebook. An additional, universal app is available for syncing the pasteboards of iOS mobile devices.

Cloud Clip’s most outstanding feature is the ability to automatically sync clippings between an unlimited number of OS X and iOS devices. iCloud sync works in the background to keep all Macs and iDevices ready to continue any job on any platform. In addition to clippings recorded during a normal workday, the application is ideal for creating and accessing snippets that are used repeatedly, such as signatures, images, and boilerplate.

Feature Highlights:
* Simple access to the OS X clipboard from the menu bar, dock, or global hotkey
* Sync Mac clipboard with other Macs and even mobile devices – iPhone/iPad/iPod touch (Cloud Clip for Mobile is required and is a separate download)
* Unlimited clippings with support for text, images, PDFs, and other formats
* Blacklist apps that Cloud Clip should not copy from (like 1Password) and pause all recording with 2 clicks
* Set a cap to the number of clippings stored, so the oldest clippings are automatically pruned from the clipboard
* Paste as plain text
* Share clippings via email, Facebook, Twitter, Messages, or Flikr (10.8 required)
* Star favorite clippings
* Automatic duplicate detection

The ability to store multiple clippings on the clipboard greatly enhances convenience and speed factors, which contribute so much to the overall user experience. Each item in the list includes an abbreviated preview of up to 80 characters of text, the icon of the app from which the clip was copied, and the clip’s file size. Cloud Clip gives users three methods of easily sorting the clips in their list. Buttons in the upper tab bar permit the choice of Newest (clips are in chronological order with the newest first), Starred (clips marked as favorites top the list in chronological order, followed by all other items that have been copied or cut), or Source (an alphabetical list of clips based on the names of the applications from which they were obtained).

“Cloud Clip is the only clipboard app available on the Mac App Store that utilizes iCloud right now,” stated Andrew Schenk of Chimp Studios. “Not only do our users enjoy a seamlessly synced clipboard between all their Macs and iDevices, they also know their data is kept securely on Apple’s servers.”

System Requirements:
* Mac OS X 10.7 or later
* Requires 64-bit Intel processor
* 9.5 MB
