London, United Kingdom – Wow!Systems LLC and Fapptory Lda., two small Mac software houses, have released their first product for Mac OS X. Called Delineato Pro 1.0.2 (the italian word for outline) it is a productivity tool aimed at creating simple diagrams, mind maps, architectural diagrams or simply to brainstorm.

The user interface design is very zen, fostering a distraction-free environment. It was designed in close partnership with the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute and Carnegie-Mellon University’s HCII (Human-Computer Interaction Institute).

The positive reviews that the app has been getting seem to encourage the development team who is already planning updates to the app. Sources within the company state that an iOS version is also being developed. A free Lite version (with minor restrictions – basically less shapes and minor features) is currently under review by Apple and should be out pretty soon.
