Stuttgart, Germany – “Drinkl” is the first app release of Stuttgart, Germany based designers Jewgeni Goranko and Sebastian Frederick Mueller. After friends of the designers complained about how difficult it was to order drinks in crowded and noisy bars or clubs, Sebastian and Jewgeni decided to solve this issue. They discovered that in noisy locations ordering drinks would be much quicker and easier when the barkeeper simply reads the order.
“Drinkl” allows users to input the desired drink and the amount and then to simply show both to the barkeeper on their iPhone display. The order is rendered in clear letters, big enough to be recognized from distance. The user also can create several order pages and swipe through them to order different drinks at the same time. “Drinkl” saves the orders and allows the user to simply choose last drinks from a list. Barkeepers also admit that they appreciate to read an order instead of trying to understand what a customer is telling.
While working on the project, the designers realized that to be successful, “Drinkl” had to be perfectly focused on functionality. That’s why the app design is simple, easy to understand and to use. On the same time every graphic detail in “Drinkl” is well considered and perfectly crafted. And so is the “Drinkl” corporate design featuring great illustrations in the app, on promotion materials and the website making the “Drinkl” experience very unique and vanguard.
“Drinkl” is available for sale only and does not collect any user data. That was from the beginning one of the most important features for the developers.
