Sammamish, Washington – Juicy Bits today is proud to announce that their popular Halftone 2 comic creation app, an Apple Editors’ Choice, has been updated to add iPhone compatibility. The Universal app is currently on sale in the App Store to celebrate the new version.
“Ever since we launched Halftone 2, users have been asking for an iPhone-compatible version,” says Mike Swanson, Founder of Juicy Bits. “Halftone 2 is a rich app, and adapting it to work well on a smaller screen took us a little extra time. We wanted it to feel at-home on an iPhone, and we worked hard to make the interaction as natural as possible. We hope that our customers love it.”
Halftone 2 makes it easy to create professional-quality, multi-page comic books by assembling photos from a user’s photo album, Facebook, Flickr, or Instagram. Users can then add speech and thought balloons, styled captions, some WHAMS, BAMS, and POWS, and share their creations with the world.
The update also includes a double-tap-to-zoom feature to improve page navigation and a new sample project with original comic art by Caio Cacau.

Halftone 2 (v1.1) is currently on sale for $1.99 USD on the App Store to celebrate the iPhone update. The app runs on iPad 2 (or later) and iPhone 4 (or later).
