Austin, Texas – Creative content company, PoetCode, LLC, today launched Dynasty of the Magi for iOS, the first ever interactive eBook fantasy series integrated with a Massive Multi-player Online Game (MMO). The breakthrough franchise is the first to combine the two platforms seamlessly to create an interactive experience that allows the gamer/reader to shape the outcome of the eleven eBook fantasy series.

This ecosystem, developed by PoetCode, is called liMMO, short for Literary Immersive Massive Multiplayer Online Game. In the liMMO system, the author writes critical quests for the MMO game based on unresolved subplots in the novel. The results of these quests give advantage to one of the sides, good or evil, in the following eBook in the series. This process allows the gamer to become the reader, seeing how his or her actions have affected the plot of the story.

“We’ve created a highly detailed fantasy book linked to a game at its inception,” said Derrick Garvin, creator and author of the Dynasty of the Magi franchise. “Readers, by playing the game, can now interact with developers at the creative level, determining the emerging plot of the books and the ultimate outcome of the series.”

“Rites of Passage”, the first in the eleven eBook immersive Dynasty of the Magi series involves a young geek named Faro in the “hood” of gang-ridden East Orange, New Jersey. Faro discovers that he is a Magi from an Ancient order called the Dynasty, and he must use his dark power to survive and unravel secrets, traps and betrayals set for him.

The first game being integrated with the series is titled “Words of Power”. In this MMO iPad app, players choose good or evil, the Underworld or the Outerworld. While experiencing the immersive online world, they can network with friends to recruit allies and discover hidden powers, prophecies and characters from the unfolding eBook series.

PoetCode has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help with funding for the soon-to-come Dynasty of the Magi updates. The initial updates includes Dynasty of the Magi 1.1, which will add an Android port, content upgrade, expanded quest factions, and unique groups with customized goals. The campaign’s goal is set at $50,000 and is running until Friday, Dec. 21.
