Port Elizabeth, South Africa – Miffed at the intrusion Candy Crush had on his relationship, Indie Developer Mark Phillips took it upon himself to join the #candyjam campaign by creating “Fatty on a Bike – An Epic Journey.” Fatty has to save his girlfriend from the evil fat “King” by riding his ridiculously undersized red bike up and down hills while avoiding sugary foods and munching fruit and vegetables.

The game follows Fatty over a smorgasbord of brightly coloured procedural landscapes as our gravitationally challenged hero makes heroic jumps to avoid the sugary treats and rockets downhills to collect the fruit and veg. Our chubby hero is also able to harness gravity to his advantage and obtain breakneck speeds on his tiny red bicycle. A number of strategically located power ups such as “Fat Blocker” and “Vertigo” will assist or hinder your epic journey.

“I wanted to make a game that not only took a stab at the impact Candy Crush has had on our society but also one that had a positive message and was fun to play!” said Indie Developer Mark Phillips. “I was amazed at how obsessed people became over the game and how it really impacted their not only their quality of life but those around them, I felt joining #candyjam and releasing Fatty was the right thing to do”
