Exeter, United Kingdom – Available to download in the iPhone App Store and from today on Google Play for Android, TBH is taking a stand against cyber bullying by giving teens a platform to express messages of positivity and build each other’s confidence. The platform serves to celebrate positive communication, honesty and openness. More than one million messages have been exchanged in the first few weeks, leading many to believe that TBH is fast becoming the next super hot app for teens.
TBH, which stands for ‘To Be Honest,’ started off as a meme on social networking sites and has since evolved into an independent mobile app. Apple recently featured it as “New & Noteworthy” and subsequently its growth has spread fast across the globe.
The app works in a very simple way. Friends visit each others profile page and click the big ‘Like for TBH’ button. In doing so, the recipient receives +1 Like (the app’s scoring mechanism) and the ability to send a TBH message back to the person who gave the Like. The typical TBH message consists of 160 characters and contains complimentary words about a friendship, appearance or personality trait.
