Seattle, Washington – Hiyu2, a game app development company, today announces a fun new “listen and find” iPad app designed to get pre-schoolers excited about learning numbers and letters. The game challenges players to “clean up” the screen as they listen to prompts, and recognize letters and numbers up to twenty.

Lots2Spot Mini School was developed as a teaching tool that expands learning opportunities for players of the developer’s first release, Lots2Spot. According to Hiyu2 co-founder Stephanie Krimmel, “The response to Lots2Spot as a vocabulary-building game for toddlers has been fabulous, and we want to share the fun with older kids in a more academic game. Mini School is ideal for kids starting pre-school or kindergarten to get them excited about learning!”

In each Lots2Spot Mini School screen, adorably illustrated animals are included in the mix, motivating children to keep playing and to reinforce children’s counting skills as they are prompted to “Find four foxes.”

Hiyu2 co-founder and designer Jennifer Bartlett notes, “Not only are the animals really cute and a pleasure to draw, they keep the game fun so it feels less like learning and more like playing.”

Lots2Spot Mini School is not dependent upon reading, so it can be played alone or with a parent or friend. Parents can change the settings to include capital letters or lower-case letters, or mix them up on game screens. The screens are randomly generated – ensuring players learn to recognize the letter and number shapes, not simply memorize their positions.
