Montpellier, France – Aquafadas, innovative developer of digital publishing solutions and creative software for HTML5 creation, praises six customers behind nine apps that landed a total of 14 spots on the list of finalists for the 2013 Digital Magazine Awards. Now in its fourth year, the Digital Magazine Awards (DMA) celebrate the best magazines, individuals and advertisers from the digital magazine industry. Aquafadas-powered apps topping the DMA charts include Bande Part, Signum (UBM Design Central), Canal (Prisma Creative Media), and planet (Lufthansa Cargo AG). Each finalist is chosen based on brilliant editorial content and design that influence and set trends within the sector. Each digital magazine finalist embraces innovation and delivers engaging content that far surpasses that of its peers.

Bande Part and EETimes 40th Anniversary Issue: Rise of the Geeks by UBM Design Central also nabbed desirable spots as finalists in the Launch of the Year category for “New Title” and “New Format,” respectively. The winning magazine in either category will have captured a significant market share in the period since launch, proving its status as a trendsetting digital magazine. Featuring superb editorial content and fantastic design, both Bande Part and EETimes 40th Anniversary Issue push the boundaries of what is possible in the digital format thanks to Aquafadas digital publishing technology. Adding to this list of accolades awarded to the team behind Bande Part, both founders of the digital feat are being honored with top spots on the finalist list. Fouzi Louahem was shortlisted in the Designer of the Year category, while Anne-Claire Cieutat was nominated for Editor of the Year.

Demonstrating her innate talent for not only producing a stunning digital publication but managing a creative team, Cieutat comments, “It’s very important that all Bande Part journalists can think in ‘3D.’ That is to say, that all subjects are elaborated upon with text, sounds, images, videos, drawings, music and more. The iPad and iPhone open up a tremendous amount of possibilities for expression, which we take full advantage of while collaborating on Bande Part.”

She continues, “The advantage of using the Aquafadas Digital Publishing System comes from the clear and understandable interface, which provides our production team with a smooth workflow that doesn’t get in the way of the final product. It allows us to combine images, sounds, videos, slideshows, and more. This near-infinite amount of possible combinations allows for a new approach to reading, watching, and listening for the Bande Part audience.”
