Shanghai, China – Just 3 weeks after the release of the multiplayer iOS game Kingdom of Pirates, hundreds of players have already given it outstanding reviews. The game has a rating of four-and-a-half stars in the iTunes App Store and its forums are buzzing with excitement as gamers discuss what they love about this free-to-download app.

Players are sold on the game’s piratey sense of humor. Sidney, one of the narrators who guide the player along the journey, will often speak of a “buxom tavern wench” of whom he has fond memories. Evans, another narrator, screams “ME TREASURES!” repeatedly when his ship is being stolen. This game is filled with pirate swearing (“blisterin’ barnacles!”), pirate insults (“ya blubberin’ nancy boys!”) and pirate superstitions (an Amber of Gingers is said to capture the magic of “them scary red-headed people”).

This MMORPG lets players channel their inner pirate. “Arrr! Gimme some rum or I’ll be feedin’ ya to th’ sharks!” one player wrote on the forums while waiting for his rum to regenerate (pirates in Kingdom of Pirates refuse to fight unless they have enough rum.) Plenty of players joke about a pirate’s “booty” in their server chatrooms and create guilds that range from the piratey-sounding Sea Mistress to the not-so-piratey NFL Fans.

One reviewer called the game “Pretty good, addictive and easy to pick up and play.” Another player gave an equally high rating with the comment “Finding myself coming back again and again to play, didn’t think would be fun but is.” Almost all players gave the game a rating of 4 or 5 stars, and many begged for new players to add their usernames as inviters and to join their guilds.

Kingdom of Pirates is a great game for gamers who love all things pirate. From the moment a players enter the game, they are swept off on an epic, treasure-seeking adventure where they must fight to be the best pirate they can be. This game is a perfect blend of strategy and RPG, and roleplaying as a pirate can be so fun that some players choose to speak like a one whenever the opportunity arises. As one player put it, “Just logged in muhuhahahaha. I mean argh!”
