Barcelona, Spain – Sprite Lockdown today is pleased to introduce Sewer Wars for iOS, its new sidescrolling platformer, where players control Joe Gillis, employee of the Las Vegas Sewer Maintenance System, as he fights against the sewer rats that have overrun the cities and the diabolical cats that have forced them into the streets. An unusually large download, the game features 2 thumb controllers for jump/shoot, 7 levels of play in cities worldwide, 10+ upgradeable/expendable power-ups, comprehensive stats, Game Center compatibility, and an elaborate intro sequence that sets up the action.

Meet Joe Gillis, burly employee of the Las Vegas Sewer Maintenance System. Just another day of work in the dirty sewers. EXCEPT THAT IT IS NOT JUST ANOTHER DAY. RATS ARE EVERYWHERE! Equipped with his foam gun, Gillis is ready to stop the rat infestation growing in cities around the globe. Yes, he will single-handedly take care of the rat problem in Las Vegas, Barcelona, New York City, and Rio de Janeiro. Not only that, he will go to the sewers and see for himself what the root problem is: THE CATS ARE TAKING OVER THE WORLD, AND THEY ARE STARTING WITH THE SEWERS. It is mayhem, and it starts now!

Feature Highlights:
* HD sidescrolling platformer with layered graphics and animation
* 7 levels of play in cities worldwide, including Las Vegas and New York
* Game Center Leaderboards and Challenges
* 10+ upgradeable/expendable power-ups

The player’s mission is to exterminate as many rats as possible and reach the end of the city, which transports Gillis to another city or sewer system. Players tap on the left of the screen to jump, and they tap on the right of the screen to shoot. Joe carries a tank on his back connected to a foam gun that kills small animals. While airborne, he can fire a foam ball downward when the player swipes or taps the screen. In addition, Joe can kill rats by landing on top of them at the end of a jump. Extermination is valued at 1 coin per rat; cats are worth 2 coins. Coins can be used to purchase power-ups and upgrades in the Store.

From start to finish, the game is filled with Challenges that earn the player score multipliers. The Store contains a wide assortment of power-ups, including Hydrogen Jetpacks that allow Joe to fly over enemies and platforms; Turbo Jetpacks that enable high-speed flight; a Hose Enhancer for added thrust when firing in midjump; a Bomb Attack that kills all enemies in the surrounding area; a Health Pack that improves Joe’s metabolic efficiency; Snakes that Joe uses to kill rats; and various animals that Joe can ride (ostrich, panther, and beast).
