Jacksonville, Florida – Retina-X Studios announced today a new generation of SniperSpy, the remotely-installable spy software for Mac OS X computers. The software allows parents and employers to install and monitor Macintosh computer activity online in real time. No physical access is needed to the computer for installation.

The software is completely hidden from view on the Mac computer. After being silently installed to the child or employee’s computer through email, the system begins keeping logs of every action performed. Parents login to a secure account from any web browser to monitor activities and see the current screen of the monitored computer like a television.

New features added into version 8.0 include Stealth Webcam and Microphone Recording to allow parents to hear and see the environment around their child’s Mac. Another feature added is the ability to restrict applications and websites with the ability to restrict during a specific time period. Historic screenshots can now be viewed in the slideshow mode. Email reports can now be sent instantly or upon a schedule the user creates.

This hybrid software and service technology gives parents the peace of mind of knowing their child is staying safe on Facebook or other areas of concern. Business owners can enforce their Acceptable Use Policy on employee Macs to find out who is being productive. Another common use is to back up one’s personal computer and Internet activity as a record of all important communications.

SniperSpy(R) is designed for desktop or laptop Mac computers running Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 (Mountain Lion). The product is available now in English, Spanish, German and French.
