My Tri Swim Coach provides triathletes with a tool that creates swim workouts based on the following parameters:

Ability level – Are you brand new to the sport or a seasoned triathlete?

Race – What are you training for?

Season – Where are you in your training cycle? The focus of the workout will change depending on your training cycle. For example, if you are in the off season, then the workout focus is technique. Or if you are close to a race, then the workout focus is on speed and open water preparation.

Pool length – Are you training in a yard or meter pool?

Each workout includes:
Warm-Up Drills – This segment includes specific drills with video clips that demonstrates how to perform each drill.

Workout – This segment varies depending on your training cycle/season. If you are a beginner, your workout intensity is determined by your perceived effort. For intermediate and advanced athletes, your workout intensity and pace is based off a 1,000 yd (or meter) Time Trial. You can set your pace and intensity using the Time Trial function. The rest intervals for each set within a workout are provided and are based on time (for example: “:30 rest”).

Cool Down

Swim App functions include:
Workout Generator – Creates a swim workout based on your fitness level and goals. You have the option to select your ability level, time of the year/season, distance of the race, and pool length.

Set Pace – After completing a 1000 yd (or meter) time trial, this function will determine the intensity level (expressed as a %) and paces for your swim workouts.

Drills – This drill library includes the drills used in My Tri Swim Coach. Here you will find the purpose of a specific drill, a detailed description of how to perform the drill, and also a video demonstration.

Glossary – Use this as a reference tool for a description of the terms used in the swim workouts, as well as in triathlon swimming.
