Bangkok, Thailand – Zodio, the location based social network application which has been compared as the Yelp of Asia, have this month officially launched in Indonesia. Zodio enables its users to find cool, new and trending places around them such as restaurants, bars, shops, spas and more, as well as checking-in, uploading photos, reviewing, finding cool deals and sharing places with their friends.
Founded in 2011 by Jai Govindani, Zodio officially launched in Thailand in March 2012 with rapid growth, which later led to a launch into the Philippines in August 2012. This month, Zodio have now officially launched in Indonesia with more countries to be announced in 2014.
With already more than 160,000 users in Thailand and the Philippines and a database of over 5 million businesses, Zodio is the fastest growing location based social network in South East Asia.
Adding to this, Zodio has seen a huge gap in the market for a location based social network application in Indonesia. Indonesia have established themselves to have the most social media users in Southeast Asia. Along with a country population of just under 250 million people and a technology infrastructure which is constantly being improved, Indonesia boasts itself to be a huge prospect for Zodio’s portfolio.
