The beauty of iOS gaming is that even board games that would be nearly impossible or at the least extremely difficult to play, are very much possible on your iPhone or iPad. One of these games is called LinkDots.
LinkDots is one of those games that would be an awesome Monopoly replacement with a group of 4, but unfortunately it is not available as a board game. Fortunately, however, it is available on your iPhone or iPad. Although it is not a universal application, an iPad app is available separately, which will come very close to replacing that big bulky game board that would have existed otherwise. The idea of the game may seem simple, but start playing and you’ll realize that its everything but easy. Essentially, a player is represented by a color. The board consists of squares, almost like chess, except theres a lot more squares, and its not chess. Tap a square, and you’ll mark it your own with your color. The idea is to form shapes, by connecting your dots in squares and triangles. Squares are worth the most points and are the hardest to make provided that your opponents is not day dreaming. The more square shapes you can get, the more likely you are to win the game. But watch out, because your opponent is building his squares as well.
LinkDots is actually very addicting. It is not only fun, but mentally challenging as well. Put some thought into every movement you make, and you will be rewarded with a victory and high score in the end. The game can be played with 4 people sharing a device, or you can play against the computer and sharpen your skills. There are a variety of ways you can play with your friends in person, because online capabilities are currently unavailable. But let’s be honest here. It is much more fun playing with real people rather then virtual opponents on the internet. Get out there and make some friends. Overall, LinkDots is an awesome game that will turn those gears in your head and keep you entertained at the same time.
