I’d like to welcome you to the first edition of the Top 25 on the App Store where we look at as well as demo the new top paid apps in the paid section on the App Store. Not only will it help you make a purchase decision but it will help you discover some new and exciting apps. Lets get started.

Today our contestant comes to us all the way from Australia and was actually the top paid app for a brief moment, ahead of Angry Birds, Whatsapp Messenger and many other popular apps. Its called Run Roo Run. The game is about a mother Kangaroo who is travelling across Australia to recover her baby by the name of Joey. What kind of game would this be it wasn’t about a hopping kangaroo. Which is exactly what you’re going to do here. Tapping the screen will make you jump, skip and hop over trees, rivers, cactuses and many other intriguing obstacles. Make your way across without hitting a single rock and you will be reward a star with your best time. Use a variety of power-ups like double jumps, rubber tires, and many others to help your kangaroo get across the single-screen levels, and all the way across Australia to Sydney. Now. This may sound easy. And, well, it sort of is. That is a slight downside. When you play the game, you will notice that you are EXTREMELY good at it. In this case it ISNT because you spend a little too much of your spare time playing games on your iPhone. Although the game is no where close to the difficulty that you may experience playing some of the challenging Angry Birds levels, it is still entertaining and VERY well illustrated. With over 420 levels, and 10 new levels added every week, Run Roo Run is guaranteed to have your iPhone entertainment needs covered…at least for a short while. If you ask me, it is definitely worth a buck. But thats just my opinion. Feel free to leave a comment and let us know what YOU think.
